The original Shaw Agricultural was started in Cowbeech in
1974 by John Huntley and Nigel Cheshire. The original franchise was International Harvester tractors.
In 1989 they joined forces with Curtis & Co. of
Lewes and became Curtis & Shaw (Ryfleets Ltd). The main tractor franchise became ZETOR tractors.
In January 2006 John Huntley retired and moved back to Hampshire.
A new company, CURTIS & SHAW (Sussex) LTD was started
by the current team of Allan Roalfe, Carl E. Pope, Jim Mockford and Roy Hemmings.
